Al Rumaithi Elected UAE FCCI Chairman

FCCI NewsThe UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has elected HE Mohamed Thani Al Rumaithi, ADCCI Chairman, and HE Saeed Ali Khammas, Chairman of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), FCCI chairman and vice-chairman respectively. The FCCI Executive Office’s members have been elected as well.

The electoral process has been conducted in the course of the 84th FCCI Board Meeting and General Meeting held in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.

Mr. Al Rumaithi has extended thanks to Their Excellencies the FCCI Board Members for the confidence given to him as the chairman of the board, praising the vital role being assumed by the federation in enhancing and developing economic ties between the UAE and countries of the world under the wise leadership of President HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brother HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Efforts being exerted by the FCCI are focused on serving economic development, in addition to coordination and consultation between the entire UAE chambers of commerce and industry operating under the federation’s umbrella and federal and local ministries and authorities through developing legislations and laws governing economic relations, which are channeled into serving the UAE private sector’s community. For these are pillars supportive of giving the economic and investment movement a push forward up to an advanced position commensurate with the civilizational development being witnessed by the UAE in all sectors, he affirmed, stressing the importance of bringing to bear the activities of joint business councils between the UAE and GCC States in view of the relevant significance coupled with the role of such councils in reinforcing economic ties and reactivating the private sector’s part in the process of all-out economic development being experienced by both the UAE and the GCC countries.
